After School Tutoring and Enrichment Project, Detroit, MI
Collect back to school supplies for this project located in the historic First Congregational Church
of Detroit is located in the Cultural Center of Detroit MI. Surrounding the Cultural Center is a
residential area called the Lower Woodward Corridor.
The Detroit Rescue Mission was founded in Detroit in 1909 and February 14, 2008 will mark its 99th year of service to
Detroit's needy and homeless. The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries is a Christian faith-based charitable organization,
accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). DRMM is dedicated to meeting the
basic needs of humanity, while motivating individuals to rebuild their lives, one life at a time.
Grace Centers of Hope is a Christian non-profit organization committed to creating community by providing shelter, recovery and rehabilitation to men, women and children suffering from homelessness, drug addiction, alcoholism and/or spousal or parental abuse. In addition Grace Centers of Hope works hand in hand with our sister inner-city church Grace Gospel Fellowship, to provide life long Christian community and growth for an ongoing recovery process.
Lighthouse Emergency Services exists to provide emergency assistance, foster self-sufficiency, advocate for human dignity. In partnership with other Lighthouse subsidiaries and volunteers and by collaborating with businesses, human service agencies, religious communities, schools and service organizations, Lighthouse Emergency Services accomplishes the efficient provisions of quality services and programs, and community planning and education.
Lighthouse Emergency Services - Food Barrel
Monthly we collect non-perishable food for Lighthouse Emergency Services in the barrel in the Narthex. See someone from Christian Service for more details on the current needs.
Lighthouse Emergency Services - Thanksgiving
Annually, we participate in the Lighthouse Emergency Services Thanksgiving drive. The Sunday School kids decorate shopping bags that get distributed to collect food for the Thanksgiving baskets. Money is also collected to buy turkeys. Many members help pack and distribute baskets. See someone from Christian Service for more details on participating next year.
Salvation Army, Royal Oak, MI
We support local Royal Oak, MI facility.
Young Life brings the good news of Jesus Christ into the lives of adolescents with an approach that is respectful of who kids are and hopeful about who they can be. We support local Birmingham, MI (Seaholm High School and Derby Middle School) clubs.
