Ring'n'Sing
This is for 2nd grade through 8th grade. The sing and play hand chimes (no experience necessary). They rehearse on Sunday mornings before Sunday School (9:30 - 10:00 AM) September thru Mid-May. They perform approximately every 6 weeks. For more information contact Kerry.
Sunday School
During the school year (September thru June), Sunday School is provided for all ages before service from 10:00 - 11:00 AM in the education wing.
- Adults meet in the library
- Pre-school thru 7th grade meet in the first classroom in the education wing
- 8th thru high school meet in the third room in the education wing
Children's Church
During the school year (September thru June) after Children's Message, Children's Church is another opportunity for children in pre-school thru 6th grade to continue to learn.
Pilgrim Fellowship (Teens)
This is for teenage youth. This program features games, conversation, Bible study, prayer,
contemporary Christian music, refreshments and service projects.
This group annually participates in the 30 hour famine to raise money for World Vision
This program is built on the five intentions of Youth Ministry:
- To call young people to be disciples of Jesus Christ.
- To respond to the needs and the interests of young people.
- To work together, youth and adults, in partnership.
- To be connected to the whole church, community, and the world.
- To include all young people, reaching out and inviting them to belong
to the community of faith.

Summer Events
Vacation Bible School
Vaction Bible School (VBS) is the last week of July (July 26-30 from 9:30 AM - 12:15 PM) gives kids is an opportunity for kids in the community to experience God thru music, crafts, bible stories and games!!! All are welcome!! The day begins and ends in the sanctuary where our Music Director leads the kids in interactive and upbeat somgs related to the bible theme. Every year there are new and original songs that go with the theme. A favorite is always the new "dum-dum-ditty" song that incorporates many hand movements.
This year we are using Standard Publishing's "Hero Headquarters - Where Kids join forces with God!". Click here to register online or call the church office @248-642-2290.

Music Makers
Music Makers is the last week of July (July 26-30 in the afternoon after Vacation Bible School). It is a kid's Christian Musical that is also known as the 4 day miracle since at the beginning of the week the kid's meet for the first time to start learning the musical and by Friday they are putting on multiple performances. This has been going on for over 30 years. This year's production is "Life School Musical" The performance schedule is as follows:
- Friday, July 30: 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM
- Friday, July 30: 7:30 PM with an ice cream social to follow
- Sunday, Aug 1: 10:00 AM (during service)

Michigan Congregational Summer Camp (MCSC)
Pilgrim participates in the Michigan Congregational Summer Camp (MCSC). The MCSC program is a function of the Michigan Conference of Congregational Christian Churches.
The Michigan Association of Congregational Christian Churches annual summer camp is the first week of August at Camp Copneconic in Fenton, MI. Open to campers going into grades 4-9, this sleep-away camping program integrates:
- Worship
- Bible Study
- Prayer
- Interactions with students from Congregational churches all over the state
- Outdoor living and recreation activities: boating, swimming, climbing, crafts, and more.
The camp gathers nearly 150 children and 50 staff members for the week. By integrating religious education and a Christian atmosphere with the experiences of camp that children love, children learn that 'even faith can be fun.'
Pilgrim children have participated as campers. Also, our congregation has participated as counselors, assistants to the directors, directors.
